week 8 MOCA

These pieces were created by a German artist named Karin Kuhlmann. Her background is primarily in commercial art and photography. Similar to the programs we have been using in class, Karin uses Automatism to create her art, if you take a look at her website, you 'll see that she is extremely experienced in creating fractal art. The piece to the right reminds me of a ping pong ball being washed into a whirlpool

This was fun creating.
I picked a few frames and swirled my finger around. This was the outscome
 This was my first attempt.
This one I selected aa few frames.  I did circular motions and a few zig zags.
I selected a few choices and did each motion different from the next.

I used a bigger brush.
I used small brushes and big brushes.  I also changed the colors.

I used a slightly larger brush and stuck to a gray scale.

 I enjoyed this link.

Peter Mc Lane is a Frenchman, born in Chamonix, France, in 1945. He says his technique "cannot be related to another," but confesses his respect and admiration for the traditional painters of the past, including the surrealists. He says he is influenced by Hieronymus Bosch, Tanguy, Dali and Max Ernst. He now lives in Vence on the south coast of the Riviera, where he shares his time between virtual art and old cars. He says in English, "My work is only through my imagination, no scanned images, only a white screen and using the stylus and a Wacom Tablet like a painter."

For my Kaleidoscopes I used different size brushes and movements to form different pictures. I enjoyed forming these pictures and experiments with the movements.

Circle of perfect  happiness

Because this was an album of all the entries of a summer contest.   I thought all would be somewhat summer like. This image to me seemed to capture all the seasons since that is is what I was thinking about when I looked at it. I think I could stare at this image for hours.

WK6 Short Piece from MOCA

This week I picked an artist from Poland named Bogdan Prystrom.  He was an art photographer.  He calls his art photomontage.  He mentions that his digital art is an extension of traditional photo methods.  In his Bio states he normally works with twin subjects.  That was one of my observations when I flipped through his portfolio.  I also like his unique style, sort of retro.
